Inbound RFQ discovery
When to use: Use this on the first call from an inbound RFQ, to scope the job before you price anything.

Hi buyer name, thanks for the RFQ. This is your name from company name. Before I put numbers together, I want to understand the job so the quote actually fits. Can we walk through it?
Scope the part
- What is part used in, and what problem does it solve for you?
- What volume are we talking about, roughly volume, and is that one-off or repeat?
- Are the specs and tolerances locked, or is there room to optimise for cost?
Understand the driver
- What prompted you to source this now?
- Are you replacing a current supply or adding a new line?

That gives me what I need to quote properly. The next step is next step, and I will have numbers to you by timeframe.
